As you step out of the gondola you are greeted by a cool breeze and breathtaking views stretching across the valley and beyond. Freedom! In winter it's all about skiing and snowboarding, while during the summer months the most popular activities include hiking, mountain biking and trailrunning. Or why not simply sit down and enjoy the silence, far from the hustle and bustle of life in the valley far below? The Rifflsee lake, Hochzeiger mountain and Pitztal Glacier can all be accessed quickly and easily by cable car from the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten.
The cable cars up onto the Pitztal Glacier and the Rifflsee lake (next to the hotel) give quick and easy access to two of the best natural highlights in the Pitztal Valley, where a world of eternal ice and sparkling water awaits.
During the winter months the two areas combine to offer 41 kilometres of ski pistes up to3,000 metres above sea level.
From the village of Jerzens it is just a short cable car ride to the Hochzeiger mountain at 2,000 metres above sea level. In winter the mountain is home to a small but friendly ski resort, while in summer families will enjoy the ZirbenPark outdoor adventure area.
