The Pitztal Valley is an eldorado for fans of ski touring, from beginners to experts. On the glacier at the end of the valley you will find the first dedicated ski touring park in the Austrian Tyrol. It has three marked routes of different difficulty levels aimed at giving newcomers to the sport the chance to learn the basics in a safe, controlled environment.
The ski touring park offers excellent conditions from September until May. Each of the three routes begins at the top of the Gletscherexpress ski lift at 2,840m. This is also a good starting point for other, more ambitious ski tours such as those on the Brochkogel and Wildspitze mountains.
