Sustainable living

Go green on holiday

We are fortunate enough to live in the heart of nature. Having grown up in the Pitztal Valley, we have a very special relationship with this region we are proud to call home. That is why it is so important for us to preserve its natural beauty and maintain it for future generations. Here at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten we are committed to sustainability. We invite guests to marvel at and interact with the local landscape during their time with us and learn about the wonderful alpine nature.

Environmental awareness

Sustainability

Living in the moment but thinking of the future – that is what sustainability means to us. That is why we have put in place many measures to reduce our carbon footprint and use the Earth's natural resources in the most efficient way possible. We use zero fossil fuels for heating, with our hotel being kept nice and warm instead by burning wood pellets. The electricity for our e-bike charging station is generated by solar panels. After a long ride in the mountains, why not treat yourself to a beauty treatment using  local herbs and resins?

Community, customs and traditions

A strong team

We love what we do and want to share the experience with others. Here at the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten we are proud to have a team of friendly, motivated staff who give their best every day to make your holiday an unforgettable experience. In return for their commitment, we think it is only fair to offer our staff the best possible conditions, training opportunties and working environment. We are proud to support people with disabilities as well as ethnic minorities at our hotel. At reception you will find a glass showcase featuring produce made by local craftsmen and craftswomen – another sign of our commitment to supporting the local community and economy.

Give your car a holiday

Eco-friendly hotel

We will be happy to advise you on the most climate-friendly way to get to our hotel. Once you are here you will be able to get around without a car. In summer, guests get a Pitztal Summer Card giving free access to the valley's public transport network. In winter your lift pass also entitles you to use the ski bus free of charge – or simply walk the short distance from the Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten to the Rifflseebahn cable car.

From the region for the region

Our commitment to sustainability extends all the way to the kitchen, where our team of chefs uses regional produce for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Vegans will find plenty of meat-free options, while the hotel's own herb garden delivers the ingredients that give our cuisine that extra kick.
